Yearn Clip G: The Drive

*This clip is available for viewing in High Quality (Click the "watch in high quality" setting option under the video player). The "Yearn" project was designed as both a musical fable and an experimental narrative, where multiple short stories and characters are connected by one protagonist - The Boy From the Lake. The underlying objective of Daniel Boneville's vision was to convey each tale with a minimal amount of dialog, allowing his core elements of imagery, original music, editing, and sound design to express ideas and draw the audience into a troubled world. After "Yearn" was accepted into the New York Short Film Festival and well received in Los Angeles, actor Peter Facinelli had the opportunity to view the piece. Impressed by its visual tenacity and surreal nature, Facinelli commissioned Boneville to create the script that would eventually evolve into their first collaborative effort - "Lily". These select clips from "Yearn" display a cross-section of the stylistic groundwork that Boneville would continue to refine in "Lily", as both movies contain individual scenes representing a wide range of aesthetically contrasting styles, juxtaposed for cumulative impact.
