Widow pleased by footage leak

The widow of Lance Corporal Matty Hull has discussed the moment she watched the cockpit video from the US fighter jet that killed her husband. She said she was pleased that the leaked video footage had finally been released.Meanwhile, Prime Minister Tony Blair said today he "deeply regretted" the distress caused to the family.Mr Blair told MPs he believed the Ministry of Defence had acted in "good faith" throughout the process. But he also promised to look again at the system to ensure that "in similar such circumstances we are able to deal with it in a better way".He said: "I can assure you that we will do everything we can to co-operate with the coroner and also make sure the additional distress, that's now been caused to the family, is minimised."The video will now be shown at a resumed inquest to L/Cpl Hull's family and the coroner, but not to the public or the media.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
