sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was too tired. --------------- The next morning nick woke up to Joe and Kevin fighting about socks. Usual. He sat up in bed, shook his curls and started to get down. When he did he stepped on someone and fell to the ground. Sarah: ow! Nick! Nick: oh my gosh Sarah I'm so sorry! I totally forgot you stayed over. Sarah: [rubbing her head] some host you are! [teasing] Nick: did you sleep here last night? Sarah: yeah. You fell asleep on the bed. Its ok I knew you were tired from the show and stuff. And I know how you hardly ever sleep in your own bed. Nick: thanks. [helped her up] we should get downstairs. You have your appointment today. Sarah: nick I'm scared. Nick: its gonna be ok. I promise. After the two got ready and ate breakfast Mr. Jonas drove them to the doctors office. Sarah sat anxiously in the waiting room tapping her foot 100 mph. nick saw how nervous she was. He felt bad but he knew there was nothing he could say to her. Doctor: Sarah? Sarah: [sighed] I'm here. Nick: you want me to go in with you? [She nodded] ok. Nick got up and held onto Sarah's hand tight. They both walked into the room and nick stepped out while the doctor did some tests. He waited anxiously leaning against the wall. God he hoped she was ok. But he knew that if she was sick, he would help her every step of the way. Doctor: ok nick you can come in now. Nick: thanks. [went and sat next to Sarah] Doctor: ok I'll be back in a few minutes ok. I'm going to evaluate everything. [the doc walked out] Sarah: this is killing me! Nick: hey its better to know right? Sarah: right now I'm starting to like the saying IGNORANCE IS BLISS Nick: [laughed] its gonna be fine. Sarah: I hope so. The two stayed chatting a little bit while they waited for the doctor. Nick tried to make her feel better by goofing around with all of the gadgets. He grabbed two popsicle sticks and stuffed them into his face. Nick: look I'm a walrus! [Sarah started laughing and pointed behind him. Nick turned around and saw the doctor looking at him weird.] oh [took out the popsicle sticks and cleared his throat] sorry. Doctor: ok Sarah. You ready? Sarah: oh man. Doctor: Sarah you have type I diabetes. Sarah: I do? [tears started forming in her eyes] but I don't know anything! Doctor: that's ok. Its controllable. We will give you a crash course on everything you need to know. Once you have your sugar under control you will be back to your old self again. And you have Nicholas. He's been really great throughout these years. Nick: yeah Sarah. I'll help you with everything. Doctor: we just need you to stay here for a while. One of the nurses is going to explain everything you need to know. Its all going to be fine. You just have to promise that you really have to do what is expected. Sarah: I promise. Doctor: ok I'm gonna need your dad to sign some papers. Sarah: he's on business trip. Mr. Jonas brought me. Doctor: um ok. Nick can you ask your dad to sign some papers. Just until her dad comes back. Nick: no problem. [left the room] Doctor: you're really lucky to have him around. He's been great about his diabetes. And it never stopped him. I hope it doesn't stop you in doing what you want. Sarah: [smiling] yeah. I promise it wont. Doctor: you take care ok. And don't hesitate to call. Sarah: thank you doctor. Nick walked back into the room and sat next to Sarah. He took her hand into his and began to pray with her. They sat there in silence. It was broken by the sound of Sarah's phone ringing. Sarah: hello? Sarah's Dad: Sarah? Where are you? I tried calling home but you didn't answer. Sarah: oh hi dad. [she felt nicks squeeze her hand] I'm at the doctors S. Dad: what? Are you ok? Who took you. Sarah: I'm with the nick and his dad. S. Dad: Jonas? Sarah: yeah. S. dad: ok good. Are you ok honey? Sarah: yeah. Sarah sat there and explained everything to her father. He was shocked at first but then he felt bad because he wasn't there to help his daughter in her time of need. She reassured him it was all going to be fine in the end. He promised her he would be on the next flight out. She hung up and looked at nick who could only smile at her. Everything is going to be alright she thought ------------------- Gosh I'm not liking these chapters lol I think its just because it just starting. I promise they'll get better!
