"Pizza is ready" I called out. The four boys dropped what they were doing and took their places at the table. I put the pizza down in the center and took a seat at the table. They all grabbed the pizza and ate. I waited for them to take some each before reaching for some. There was only one piece left. I sighed and placed it on my plate. Luckily I wasn't that hungry. The guys finished and walked away from the table and left there plates there. Great more cleaning. Frankie stayed back and helped me clear the table before I said he could go. I washed all the plates and packed the dishwasher. It was 8:30 by the time I'd finished. I wasn't allowed to leave until Mr. and Mrs. Jonas came home. I wandered outside and discovered they had a pool. The lights were on and they created a blue glow around the backyard. I slipped off my shoes and sat on the edge of the pool and dangled my feet in the water. I swished my feet back and forward in the water, watching the ripples they formed. I felt a breeze on my back and someone sat beside me and dangled there feet next to mine. I looked up and saw Joe there, smiling at me. "Hey" he said "Hi" I replied. "So what's it like being the maid to the Jonas Brothers?" he smirked "Honestly, it's hell" I said He placed a hand over his heart and said with a smile, "I'm deeply hurt" "I'm being serious Joe" as I said this, his smiled dropped. "Why?" he asked "Because it's not what I thought it would be" I said "How can you be disappointed, I'm THE Joe Jonas" he smirked. Now normally you would laugh at a comment like that but I wasn't in the laughing mood and he wasn't joking, he was literally being stuck up. "That's exactly what I'm talking about, you and your brothers think your god's gifts" I said as I shook my head and stood up. "Oh come on" he smiled "No Joe you and your brothers need to learn how to treat people and deflate your heads and just remember that on the inside you are humble people" I said. I grabbed my shoes and walked out the door and went straight home. I didn't care if their parents weren't home. I just needed to get home. I didn't exactly mean to say that to Joe but he needed to hear it. When I got home no one was home. There was a note on the bench. It said Hi honey we are going out to a charity event, be home later, love mum and dad. So I was home by my self. I went up to my room and curled up in a ball on my bed. I started thinking about what I said to Joe and how I just walked out. If Mrs. Jonas found out I wouldn't certainly be fired. My phone started ringing. It was Mrs. Jonas. I prepared to be fired. "Hello?" I said "Hello Elle" she replied sweetly. "Look Denise I'm sorry I went home" I said but she cut me off. "Oh don't worry, the boys told me you weren't feeling well, that's ok if you went home" she said. "Oh yeah I wasn't feeling well?" I said unsurely They boys had covered for me. "Joe also told me what you told him" she said. Oh here we go, I'm busted. "He is glad that you agreed to partner him for the dance class" she said What? I never said that. The Jonas' had once again covered for me. Maybe they weren't as bad as I thought. "Ah yeah no problem Denise" I said "Well we will see you tomorrow" she said "Yeah, I will be there normal time" I said We said good bye and hung up. I can't believe they did that for me. I would have definitely been fired if Mrs. J found out what really happened. My parents came home an hour later. I went down stairs to greet them. "Hi mum and dad, did you have a good time?" I asked "Yes, we met a nice couple, they live down the street, what was their name?" my mum said "Ummm, James, Jones" my dad said Oh no, "Jonas?" I replied "Yes, wait do you know them?" my mum said "They happened to be the family I'm working for. My parents smiled and I shook my head and headed up stairs. I made a mental note to thank the Jonas boys for covering for me before I went to sleep.
