Take a look of the DOULOS "preship trainging" .... From www.doulos.org news archives: New Beginnings 1 Oct, 2006 :: Bangkok, Thailand What do Kenya, Poland, Chile, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan have in common? Along with 48 other countries, they are all now represented in the Doulos crew! Besides adding to the multinational flavour on board, the latest intake of new recruits brought about another noteworthy change - little Joshua Harrod (South Africa) has become the youngest crewmember on board. Being just 16 weeks old didn't exclude him from the safety training for the new personnel though. Little Joshua participated in the life-saving exercises with the help of his mother, Helen (UK). Saying A Sad Farewell 18 Sep, 2006 :: Sattahip, Thailand It is time to say goodbye again. Crewmembers who joined the ship two years ago in St. Nazaire, France are heading back to their homes and families. Besides giving farewell speeches and writing contact details, the group are also noting their 'lasts' -- the last Doulos meal, the last night with cabin mates... A community meeting was organised to thank those leaving for their two years' service on board. Instead of taking place in the ship, the event was held at a beach close to the current berth in Sattahip. In addition to the stunning scenery, being outside allowed the whole crew to have a barbecue lunch together!
