VT ski resorts open despite deep freeze

(Anya Huneke, NECN: Stowe, VT) - Vermont still sits under a cloud of arctic air. Which made for a very cold day on the ski slopes. It’s supposed to warm up this weekend- which is good news, because the Martin Luther King holiday is an important one for ski areas. For the faint of heart, this is not. It took temperatures half the day Friday to reach zero in Vermont. Which, for skiers and riders at Stowe mountain resort meant frigid runs, lots of layers, and frequent breaks.
