CLEVELAND (AP) - Pinch-hitter Jason Varitek hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the ninth inning as Boston beat Cleveland 5-3. The Red Sox rallied in the ninth for the second straight game, one night after erasing a 4-3 deficit in a 6-4 win over the Indians. Kevin Youkilis added an RBI single to cap the scoring in the latest comeback.
