VARIOUS: Owen and Luke Wilson promote their film "The Wendell Baker Story" at Los Angeles premiere

"The Wendell Baker Story", written by Luke Wilson and co-directed by him and brother Andrew, premiered in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (May 10) bringing out the film's stars including brother Owen Wilson and Eva Mendes. "They are just really fun guys. They are gorgeous and you know obviously Luke and Own and I don't know if you know Andrew Wilson you will know him tonight he is absolutely gorgeous. Just as gorgeous as the other two he has his own total look. I love how they all have there won look you know and their own sense of humour. They are just great I call them old cowboys because they are manly man but yet they are really chivalrous," Eva Mendes said wearing a yellow Cynthia Vincent dress and Jimmy Choo shoes. The isn't the first time the Wilson boys have worked together. The 1996 film "Bottle Rocket" was the instrument of transubstantiation for brothers Andrew, Owen and Luke Wilson from endearing but aimless Dallas perspires to multithread Hollywood players. The film was not without it's problem its original production company, Mobius Pictures, filed for bankruptcy. Shot in and around Austin in 2003, the movie spent almost three years on the shelf. Owen Wilson, 38, made it big in "Wedding Crashers" as well as "Shanghai Knights" and "You, Me, and Dupree" which kicked off a highly publicized romance with co-star Kate Hudson. "Luke had written the script and Andrew was directing well I guess Luke and Andrew were both directing me but yeah it was great to all work together. There is something about being kind of with your brothers were you don't have to there is a comfort level is you can sort of, lots of times on a movie set you might have to be sort of extra polite and with your brothers you can kind of just cut to the chase," Owen Wilson told Reuters. With Luke in virtually every shot and Andrew behind the camera, the two displayed a fraternal chemistry free from seismic turmoil that might be found in, say, a Baldwin brothers' collaboration. "It was fun that is kind of how we got started in the business we made "Bottle Rocket" together and we were working together and I don't know. I am best friends with these guys so we just really kind of enjoyed being around each other and yeah I think Owen was only there for actually a week. You don't really need to direct Owen he brings a lot of ideas to the table. You don't even have to say 'cut' he will just say 'I'm done'," Luke Wilson said on the red carpet. In his return to screenwriting and debut as director, Luke Wilson plays a good-hearted conman named Wendell Baker whose latest scam lands him in jail and alienates him from his long-time girlfriend Doreen (Eva Mendes), best friend Reyes (Jacob Vargas) and even his dog, Junior. Eternally optimistic, Wendell makes the most of his time behind bars and vows to turn his life around. "She fit in great that's the thing she she felt like kind of the fourth brother. She really kind of tomboy she is the world most beautiful tomboy," Director Andrew Wilson said of Eva Mendes. Upon release, he gets a job at the Shady Grove retirement hotel, where he befriends residents Boyd (Seymour Cassel), Skip (Harry Dean Stanton) and Nasher (Kris Kristofferson). Wendell's new friends advise him on how to win back his girlfriend, while he helps them battle the hotel's evil head nurse, Neil King (Owen Wilson) and right-hand man, McTeague (Eddie Griffin).
