Varianta reloaded - A legend returns

This much is certain, a shipyard is located on the waterfront. By the North Sea, Baltic Sea, the Mediterranean, perhaps maybe on the Rhine, or some other large river. On a barely two-meter-wide tributary of the Ruhr one certainly does not suspect a traditional shipyard. In the Sauerland in Meschede to be exact the Dehler shipyard has been building boats for decades. The probably most well-known sail ship Germany has to offer, the Varianta is one of their boats. In the 70s and 80s the sailboat cost approximately 20,000 DM and now is known as the VW Beetle of the coastal cruisers - the Varianta just keeps going and going. And just like the Beetle, now a modern edition has been developed: the Varianta 18. The boat from the Sauerland made for the people is back.
