Usain Bolt crashes his car in Jamaica

World record sprinter Usain Bolt has suffered minor injuries after crashing his sports car in Jamaica. The 22-year-old lost control of the high-powered vehicle and plowed into a ditch on the outskirts of Kingston. He injured his left foot as he stepped out of the car and was treated, along with his brother and a female companion, for minor injuries at a nearby hospital. Bolt, who won the men's 100 and 200 metre competitions with record times at the Beijing Olympic Games in August, was released after treatment at the Spanish Town Hospital. "We are keeping a close watch on Usain and will update the public as is necessary," his manager Norman Peart said. No announcement has been made as to whether Bolt will compete in the weekend events in Jamaica as scheduled.
