Students at Virginia Tech expressed their shock and disgust after watching the disturbing images of Cho shown on a U.S. network. The network received the package on Wednesday (April 18) and turned over the material to the FBI. The package included video, photographs and a multi-page statement. "To go that far and to be as intense and hardcore as he was, I think it would take years of development. He must have suffered a lot. He must be really angry at the world in order to do something like this," said student Fahid Hasan. Another student Fred McMahon said, "It's insane. I can't understand why somebody would do that, to plan so much ahead into killing so many people." But there were some who felt sorry for Cho. "I kind of feel bad for the guy because he was that messed up to do something of that nature. I kind of wished that it was caught a bit earlier so this would have been prevented," said student Bassil Zahr. The gunman who went on a deadly rampage at Virginia Tech university this week paused between shootings to mail the rambling account of grievances to NBC, the network said on Wednesday. A few of the images in the package showed Cho in the outfit in which he massacred his fellow students. The language he used in the videos and the statement was so profane that the news network had to edit the material carefully before they could broadcast it.
