USA: Space shuttle Discovery night launch

The space shuttle Discovery has blasted off from Cape Canaveral - in a rare launch after dark. Discovery's tail was visible for several minutes. On board the shuttle, the crew includes a British astronaut, Dr Nicholas Patrick who was born on Teeside. The team will be busy rewiring the International Space station during their 12 day mission.
