Kevin Federline will maintain full custody of the two children he shares with ex-wife Britney Spears, but the one-time pop princess will get some visitation, Federline's attorney said Wednesday (September 3) after a lengthy closed-door court hearing. "All I will say is that we felt -- Kevin and his counsel felt -- that the orders were justified and he was pleased with the orders that are in place,'' said Mark V. Kaplan, attorney for Federline, who attended the hearing." On Monday (October 1), Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon scrapped the shared custody arrangement that had been in place for Spears, 25, and Federline, 29. Gordon ordered that Federline be given full physical custody of the ex-couple's children, 2-year-old Sean Preston and year-old Jayden James. Wednesday's hearing was a follow-up to the one held on Monday, when the commissioner ruled that Spears had to turn her two children over to Federline. Kaplan said Spears' attorneys asked Gordon to rescind Monday's order, but Federline will still maintain full custody. He said Spears will be given some visitation rights, "pursuant to some further conditions,'' but he would not specify what those conditions are. Spears' attorney, Sorrell Trope, was not available for immediate comment. Although the court order issued Monday did not divulge the reasons for ending Spears' physical custody of her two children, Trope told People magazine his client was accused of not taking a random drug and alcohol test. She also couldn't provide a valid California driver's license. Media reports have since indicated that Spears has now obtained a California license, and paparazzi pictures and video from Tuesday evening showed her behind the wheel.
