USA: Halle Berry and Bruce Willis pair up for sex, lies and murder in the new thriller, 'Perfect Stranger'

"Perfect Strangers" tackles the dark world of corporate power, secrets and murder in a complex tale set in the heart of New York City. The film poses the question: how far would you go to keep a secret? Berry takes on the role of investigative reporter Rowena Price, who suspects that her best friend's s murder might be connected to powerful ad executive Harrison Hill, played by Bruce Willis. Price must go undercover to discover the truth behind the killing. To do this, Berry is tasked with the job of portraying three separate characters in the film. She managed this with the help of a notebook which was used on set to keep track of her different characters personalities. "That was the biggest challenge for me. That was one of the reasons I wanted to do this movie. I had never done that on film before and it proved to be a little harder than I originally anticipated it to be. To play a character that is playing another character ... there's a sort of subtly in the nuances of that ... is something that I always had to have in my mind." Bruce Willis, star of countless action films including "Die Hard", "Armageddon" and "The Fifth Element" plays the role of a corporate big shot ad executive. Willis, who had never worked with the Oscar-winning actress until this movie, says that the opportunity to work with Halle was one he couldn't refuse. Willis also says that working with the Revlon-spokeswoman, and former neighbour, was a breeze. "Was it hard? No, it was fun. It was fun. The hard thing was answering all the questions that my friends had about ... 'What's Halle like? How's she doing?' We've been friends for awhile and used to be neighbours next door. She's just wonderful, very gracious, easy to work with, I mean, I did the film because I wanted to work with Halle, " said Bruce. In the film, Halle's character goes to great lengths to avenge the death of her best friend and becomes entangled in a powerful game of sexual intrigue and manipulation with Willis' character. In real life, however, Halle prefers a more relaxed approach to life, one that keeps her at the top of her game. What's her secret? "You know people ask me that and it's not anything I can say. It's just a knowing, it's a being, it's a wisdom that arrives after you've lived 40 years or you start to reach, you know, that decade of life," said Berry. Like Halle Berry, Bruce Willis will soon find himself in a very comfortable place, returning to his action-star roots, with his next project - the next instalment in the 'Die Hard' series. "Die Hard 4 comes out. Well, I couldn't be more excited. It turned out so well, turned out beyond anyone's wildest dream. And it still fits. It'll satisfy the fans of the Die Hard mythology because we, I felt it was my job to kind of keep it in that world. I think that everyone that worked on that film: the actors, the crew, Len Wiseman, did a terrific job telling the story. He grew up, you know, being a fan of 'Die Hard' and the 'Die Hard' characters.
