USA: Britney Spears tops the "Worst Dressed" list of 2005

Becoming a mom hasn't spared Britney Spears from the wrath of critics - and fashion authority Mr. Blackwell is no exception, as Spears tops the critic's Worst Dressed List of stars for 2005. Blackwell describes the pop princess and new mom as "an over the hill Lolita." In second place: Mary-Kate Olsen, who got a thumbs down for her "bag lady rags." Meanwhile, the fashion maven says third-place nominee Jessica Simpson is dressing like a "cut-rate Rapunzel slinging hash in a (Las) Vegas diner." In general, the critic expressed disappointment with 2005, saying: "The result, unfortunately, had a been-there, done-that aura about it that left me wondering whether Hollywood's Dress-to Impress haute couture has become flat, predictable and rather forgettable." Also on this year's list: Eva Longoria (4), Mariah Carey (5), Paris Hilton (6), Anna Nicole Smith (7), Shakira (8), Lindsay Lohan (9) and Renee Zellweger (10). Blackwell, a former designer, has put out a worst dressed list for the past 46 years.
