A New York City restaurant, Serendipity 3, offers the "Frrrozen Haute Chocolate" which sets a Guinness World Record for the world's most expensive dessert. Offered by a New York restaurant, Serendipity 3, you can experience the world's most expensive dessert in the world: the "Frrrozen Haute Chocolate" for a mere twenty five thousand U.S. dollars. The dessert is made with a blend of 28 rare and exotic cocoas from around the world, whipped cream, black truffle shavings, and 23 karat edible gold. Stephen Bruce, the owner and founder of the restaurant says the dessert is a chocoholic's dream come true. "There is 28 blends of chocolate that we pour into a glass. The glass is lined with 18 karat gold leaf. Did you know that gold leaf is edible? You can digest it very easily. Then we put a frozen hot chocolate mixture, whipped cream, more shaved chocolate, top it with whipped cream, more gold leaf, truffle shavings. And if you are a chocoholic, What's not to like?" The pricey dessert is served inside a Serendipity goblet that is lined with more edible gold. The goblet comes with an 18 karat gold crown that is decorated with one carat of pure white diamonds. And it's no ordinary diamond and gold crown: the crown is a gift to the customer and can also be worn as a bracelet. Anyone who buys the extravagant dessert also gets to keep the 18 carat solid gold spoon. The spoon is one of a kind and it is decorated with three carats of rare black, white, and chocolate diamonds. Both the bracelet and the spoon are made by luxury jeweler, Euphoria New York. Stephen Bruce says his aim is to put a gold spoon in everybody's mouth. During the unveiling of the dessert, Victoria Ezgili was among the first to taste the gold-lined treat. Ezgili said, "It's really rich, really creamy. It tasted exactly like a frozen hot chocolate. If you were to freeze hot chocolate, that's what it would taste like. It didn't taste like a smoothie. It tasted perfect." To make sure the dessert is perfect, it must be ordered in advance to ensure that it contains the freshest ingredients. This is not Serendipity's only expensive dessert. Stephen Bruce says, four years ago, the restaurant set a Guinness World Record when it began offering a one thousand U.S. dollar ice cream sundae.
