New York to North Carolina.The pilot was instructed by ATC to try and land at a nearby airport-Teterboro in New Jersey,but was unable to do so as both engines stopped,and at least one engine caught fire.The pilot made a controlled descent and pitch perfect landing on the water.The pilot certainly deserves a vote of thanks from the passengers for his expertise and calmness.Passengers mainly suffering from hypothermia were taken to 2 hospitals-St Lukes Roosevelt and St Vincents for treatment.Belived that 1 flight attendant sustained a lacerated leg.
