Unemployment grows as Jordan's expats return - 12 MAR 09
Thousands of expatriates are returning to Jordan after losing their jobs overseas. But Jordanians who thought they were in secure employment at home are also feeling the financial squeeze. The unemployment ranks now include those recently laid off from Jordan's largest bank, a week after the bank announced record high profits and said it had no intention to lay off employees. Al Jazeera's Nisreen El-Shamayleh reports.
