Owen Wilson and Michael Douglas were the only two stars who turned up to the UK premiere of 'You, Me, and Dupree' on Tuesday (August 22), a romantic comedy about a couple of newly weds whose lives become somewhat complicated once the groom's (Matt Dillon) best man Dupree (Owen Wilson) moves in with them. Co-star Kate Hudson who only recently split from husband Chris Robinson did not attend the premiere. Just days after it was revealed that the Oscar nominee had split up with her husband, US Weekly reported that Hudson had taken up with Owen Wilson. The two worked together on the film 'You, Me and Dupree,' but so far, there's no official word on the matter. Asked if he ever had a 'Dupree' in his own life, Wilson cited his brother, actor Luke Wilson, but became distracted before he could elaborate. "Ah, I have," he said. "I had my younger brother Luke stay with me for a year even though he head his own house less than a --". Before he could continue, a female fan lifted her shirt and to bare her breasts at him during the interview with Reuters Television, leaving him momentarily speechless, but laughing. "I kind of lost my train of thought with that one," he continued. Wilson commented on Hudson's absence from the premiere without any mention of the tabloid rumours about him and his co-star. "It's nice that Michael Douglas came for the premiere, otherwise I'd be all by myself here, but there are so many premieres, it's hard to get everybody for all of them," he said. When asked if she was doing well, he added: "I think so." Michael Douglas, who plays Hudson's overprotective father in the movie said he'd known Hudson almost as long as a father. "Katie, ironically I think I changed her diapers, y'know it's all getting a little scary it's going along so fast," he said. "But I've been good friends with Goldie (Hawn - Hudson's mother) for years and years, and I've seen how she's grown up and it's wonderful the great work she's doing." Asked to shed any light on the rumours of romance between Hudson and Wilson, the verteran actor responded: "I wish I could give you any information but I did this picture a year ago and I've just become aware of this recently, so I don't know," he said. In 'You, Me , and Dupree', Molly (Hudson) and husband Carl (Matt Dillon) return from a Hawaiian wedding and honeymoon to discover that Dupree, Carl's pal since apparently kindergarten, is suddenly broke and homeless. Naturally, Carl offers to let him stay at his house for 'a couple of days' -- without consulting his new wife. The movie had respectable audience numbers at the U.S. box office and opens across Europe on Friday (August 25).
