Twilight 2.Open Book 1-2

"Dr.Cullens family?. Sure Dr.Cullens a great man" "They...the kids...are a little diffrent. They don't seem to fit in very well at school" Charlie looked suprised at me by looking angry. "People in this town..." He muttered. "Dr.Cullen is a brilliant surgen who could probably work in any hospital, in the world, make ten times the salary he get's here." he seemed to get louder "We're lucky to have him---lucky his wife wanted to live in a small town. He's an asset to the community, and all of those kids are wellbehaved and polite. I had my doubs, when they first moved in, with all those adopted teenagers. I thought we would some problems with them. But they're all very mature---I haven't had one speck of trouble from any of them. Thats more that I can say for the children of some folks who haved lived in this town for generations. And they stick together the way a family should---camping trips every other weekene...Just because they're new-comers, people have to talk" It was the longest speeches of Charlie that I've ever heard from him. Ever. He must feel strongly about whatever people were saying. "They seem nice enough to me. I just noticed they kept to themselfs. They're all attractive" I add. "You should see the doctor. Nurses can't work with him standing there. It's a good thing he's happily married" I smiled and took our dishes and cleaned them. that night it was finally quiet. I fell asleep quickly exhausted The rest of the week was unevenful. I got used to the routine of all my classes. By Friday I was able to recornize, if not name, almost all the stundents in school. In Gym, the kids on my team leaned not to pass me the ball and to step quickly infront of me if the other team tried to take advantage of my weekness. I happily stayed out of there way. Eventualy Joe Cullen didn't come back to school. Everyday I watched anxiously until the rest of the Cullens entered the cafe without him. Then I could relax and enjoy my lunch time and the conversation. Mostly it entered around La Push Ocean...Zac's idea. By the next Friday I was perfectly comfortable with entering biology with Joe Cullen not being there. For All I knew he dropped out of school
