True Life: I'm Getting My Big Break
tAlexandra Chando, 19, was a student at Manhattan College in New York City when she decided to take break from school and try her hand being a professional actor. Having spent her entire life up to that point participating in school plays and local theatre, Alexandra seemed destined for the stage and screen. When she auditions for a new regular role on As the World Turns, she nails the part and is spun into the world of day time soaps. Although she is nervous at first, Alexandra is able to adapt to her new environment at As the World Turns, and is quickly embraced by both the cast and crew as well as regular fans of the show. As time goes on, Alexandra begins to transform into a daytime diva , a long way from the small-town high school actress she once was. It's not long before she's attending red carpet events, and finding herself the subject of stories in various soap-related media outlets.
