
(NECN/ABS-CBN) - Tropical storm Kujira battered the central Philippines over the weekend, killing seven people and displacing thousands more, local media reported on Sunday. The province of Legaspi, about 372 miles south of Manila, was worst hit, according to broadcaster ABS-CBN. It reported that the storm caused several flash floods in the region, destroying bridges and swamping main roads and motorways.
