Ex-Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has thanked his friends, family and fans for their support, in a blog written from his hospital bed. Barker, 32, and DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, were the only survivors of a plane crash in South Carolina last month. The two pilots and Barker's personal assistant, Chris Baker, and security guard Charles 'Che' Still, died in the crash. Barker said seeing his friend DJ AM discharged from hospital has helped inspired his recovery. "I got to see AM the other day. Seeing him after he was discharged was an inspiration. I saw just how awesome the doctors' work here is, and got to see how well he is doing," Barker wrote in his blog. "We are both so lucky and grateful that we are alive today. "I want to give my deepest thanks to everyone who has helped deal with the current situation. "First and foremost, Chris and Che were my friends. I would give up anything to have them here with us today, healthy and happy." Barker also said he will undergo is seventh surgery this week, and that he was now able to to move all the fingers on his right hand for the first time since the crash. He also made a major dietary change: "Yes, I did start eating meat again, but if it helps me to be home holding my little humans sooner, then its all worth it". He has two children with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
