TRANSPORT: Westminster City Council to introduce parking charges for mopeds and motorbikes

150 thousand people in London now use a moped, or a motorbike, to get to, and from places of work. Sales of 'scooters' are now sixteen times higher than they were back in in 1993. Now Westminster City Council says that, from summer 2007, they will introduce parking charges, after their exemption from the congestion charges has seen use simply surge. But in return, it says, there will be more spaces created for bikes to park.
