TRANSPORT: Buses: London Mayor agrees cheap oil deal for subsidised fares

Three months after a controversial aborted trip to Venezuela, Ken Livingstone, the Mayor of London, has signed an accord with officials from the South American socialist country. The agreement, made at City Hall, guarantees cheap fuel for London's buses. This will be used to subsidise half-price bus and tram travel to a quarter of a million Londoners on income support.
