Tower's Silva Sees RBS Asking for More Capital This Year
Ralph Silva, research director at Tower Group Plc, talks with Bloomberg's Judith Bogner and Mark Barton about Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc's first loss in 40 years, capital ratios and bank industry consolidation. The U.K.'s second-biggest bank posted a 761 million pound loss, smaller than analysts had estimated. It said the 5.9 billion pounds ($11.4 billion) of writedowns it announced in April may be sufficient for the year. (Source: Bloomberg)
