Toor2105 - Adam Young - Experiments From CryptoVirology Labs

Recorded at the 8th www.ToorCon.org Information Security Conference, Sept 30th and Aug 1st, 2006 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California. Content produced by www.MediaArchives.com --- EXPERIMENTS WITH CRYPTOVIROLOGY LABS, with Adam L. Young. We present four experiments that we designed and that are appendices in our forthcoming book on advances in cryptovirology. These experiments were written in ANSI C and the source code for them is available on the Cryptovirology Labs website. All 4 experiments utilize asymmetric cryptography and provide an extremely high level of robustness against malware analysis. Adam Young received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Yale University in '94 and a MS in Computer Science from Columbia University in '96. He was awarded his PhD in Computer Science with Distinction from Columbia University in '02. He has authored 32 publications in: IEEE Foundations of Computer Science, Crypto, Eurocrypt, Asiacrypt, Security in Communication Networks (SCN), Fast Software Encryption, Algorithmic Number Theory Symposium (ANTS), PKC, CT-RSA, Selected Areas in Cryptography, IEEE Security & Privacy, Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems (CHES), ACISP, MyCrypt, and IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security.
