Tony Romo, Deuce McAllister and Steven Jackson NFL Injury Report for Week 9 with Dana Ward

Dana Ward from http://www.GamblersTelevision.com Hello pro football fans from our Rockstar studio this is Dana Ward here with our NFL Injury Report for the sports betting public as well as Fantasy Football players. The Dallas Cowboys travel to play first place the NY Giants on Sunday in a huge NFC East contest. The Cowboys sit 2 games behind the Giants in the division and according to an AP report quarterback Tony Romo will not play. The Cowboys expect their starting QB to return from his broken pinkie following their bye on November 16th at Washington. If the Cowboys fail to win their division and qualify as a wildcard entrant in the playoffs they most likely have to win 3 straight road games in the postseason if they were to make it to the Super Bowl. Backup Brad Johnson has been ineffective hitting on 53% of his passes, committing 4 turnovers and taking 6 sacks in his 2 games in relief of Romo. The Giants have a fierce pass rush and have already knocked Matt Hasselbeck and Carson Palmer to the sidelines. Last week at Pittsburgh the Giants had 5 sacks. The NY Giants are an 8-point favorite. Steroids reared its ugly head again in the sports world and reports are that 6-8 NFL players are under investigation for league violations. Saints star running back Deuce McAllister confirmed reports following the teams victory on Sunday that he is one of the players under investigation. The Saints have a bye this week and return to action against the Atlanta Falcons on November 9th. If the player indeed tested positive for a banned substance the star running back would face a league mandatory 4 game suspension. The banned substance in question is Bumetanide, which is a masking agent for steroids. St Louis Rams head coach Jim Haslet told reporters on Monday that running back Steven Jackson should be back in the lineup next week. Jackson missed Sundays game with New England due to a strained right quadriceps. Jackson had been instrumental in the Rams two lone wins on the season. The star back rushed for 239 yards and 3 TDs combined in victories over the Cowboys and Redskins. Arizona is up next for St Louis and a check of the odds here show Arizona as a 3 point road favorite in this NFC West battle. That will do it for todays NFL injury report. This is Dana Ward reminding you to check back to GamblersTelevision.com this week as Tony T delivers his picks from week 9 of the NFL season.
