Three interviews: For CBC Vancouver TV's 1988 series THEN & NOW, Terry David Mulligan talks with Georgia Straight publisher Dan McLeod, then Lynne McNamara interviews Canadian actor Bruno Gerussi, and finally TDM chats with Rocket Norton & Linday Mitchell of the award winning rock group Prism. Dan McLeod is the co-founder of the anti-establishment alternative newspaper The Georgia Straight with the first edition debuting on 5 May 1967. Bob Geldof was one of the early writers on music which was the paper's initial focus. McLeod clashes regularly with Vancouver mayor Tom Campbell. 44 years later McLeod and the Straight are still flourishing. Actor Bruno Gerussi first made a name for himself at the Stratford Festival, Ontario playing Shakespeare. His biggest claim to fame is as the star of CBC Vancouver's longest-running drama series The Beachcombers which was seen worldwide. His cooking seies "Celebrity Cooks" was also popular. The rock group Prism was awarded Group of the Year at the Juno Music Awards in 1981. Both Rocket Norton and Lindsay Mitchell played with the Seeds of Time while Jim Vallance and Bruce Fairbairn were from the group Sunshyne. Vallance left to co-write with Bryan Adams and Fairbairn became a hugely successful record producer (Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Loverboy, AC/DC, INXS, Chicago). Prism's key years were 1977-84..
