
I mentioned this article in another editorial, but I wanted to talk a bit more about employee recognition and compensation. The article talks about other ways to compensate employees besides money and I agree with the idea. It doesn't give any solutions, however, and while I'm not sure I have any, I do know one thing. You have to treat everyone differently under the same rules. It's how I managed people and it's how I think my kids need to be treated. Fair doesn't mean equal, and I think that companies need to find ways to be fair to all their employees. But they need to be able to adapt and meet the different needs of different employees in order to have the best relationship with each of them. Read the rest of Compensation at SQLServerCentral.com
