Wake up! The right repeatedly says that things are bad (while occasionally saying things are good at the same time) and that we need change. Unfortunately, what they offer is most obviously more of the same. According to Fact Check.org John McCain has voted with Bush 95% and 100% of the time this year and last year. John McCain supports current defense spending (increasing it, potentially) as well as supporting even MORE tax cuts than we've already implemented. Tell me how this will fix our problems? In any other country the opposition would be carried into office in a parade of balloons and flowers, but here, in America, we continually lie to the public in an effort to get elected, facts and morals be damned. This is so simple even the dimwitted failure Ronald Reagan even understood it, and frequently used it to Jimmy Carter's detriment in the 1980 Presidential Election campaign. The following is a quote from Ronald Reagan, something that conservatives who respect Reagan should take a long hard thinking about because it applies now more than ever. "It might be well if you ask yourself are you better off than you were four years ago? Is it easier for you to go and buy things in the stores than it was four years ago? Is there more or less unemployment in the country than there was four years ago? Is America as respected throughout the world as it was? Do you feel that our security is as safe? That we're as strong as we were four years ago? And if you answer all of those questions yes, why then I think your choice is very obvious as to who you'll vote for. If you don't agree, if you don't think that this course that we've been on for the last four years is what you would like to see us follow for the next four, then I could suggest another choice that you have."
