The murderers of the Romanian Handball player Marian Cozma Hungary 08.02.2009

Romanian handball international Marian Cozma was killed and two of his teammates injured in a knife attack at a Hungarian nightclub early on Sunday morning. Cozma, the 2.10-metre-tall star of Hungarian team MKB-Veszprem, was stabbed in the heart in an apparently unprovoked attack at a night club. The Hungarian news agency MTI reported that Cozma, 26, was taken to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival. MKB-Veszprem's Croatian goalkeeper Ivan Pesic, 23, was stabbed in the back during the incident and had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a damaged kidney. Serbian teammate Zarko Sesum was kicked unconscious after rushing to Cozma's aid and taken to hospital with a suspected skull fracture. "Zarko Sesum is out of danger and his condition is stable," Veszprem hospital director Jeno Racz said after the 23-year-old player had undergone surgery. Racz told MTI that Pesic was in "good condition" but would not give further details of the injuries suffered by the two players. The president of MKB-Veszprem told the newspaper Nepszabadsag that the fight had moved onto the street when the fatal stabbing occurred. "The players were behaving normally when a group of about 30 attacked Cozma as he danced with his girlfriend," Akos Hunyadfalvy said. "The police are conducting a massive search.
