This is a video dedicated to all my schoolmates of SAS (School of Applied Sciences) students of batch 2005 from Republic Polytechnic. I am greatly honoured to have been chosen to give a valediction to the whole graduating batch of 2008. Instead of giving a normal boring speech, I decided to do a video to accompany my valediction along with it. So, by request and to those who were not present, here's the video to reminisce about. :) Oh yah, I couldn't input the audio file of the speech I gave, so I decided to type it out here in the description. Enjoy! Valediction: As I spend my last few hours in RP after training, enjoying my protein shake. I sit back, relax and reminisce about the past. Memories of tanglin campus are still fresh and clear in my mind. How I still remembered climbing up to blk A, passing by those fenced corridors and then have my breakfast at the make shift canteen in pheonix park. That was my routined schedule everyday before school begins. And as the time passes us by, the environment around us changes too. In 2006, that was our major shift to a brand new, promising and permanent campus. Located near the Woodlands bus terminal, how I still remembered crossing that wide field, passing by the agora corridors and taking the elevator with our friends up to our designated facilitation rooms. I guess the best memories would be of those made with the friends and facilitators we all met during the course of our study. With every semester meeting new people, learning and growing with one another. However, our main priority was to learn. From 8:30am to 4pm, we spend grueling hours PBLing the day's module. Researching, discussing, presenting to gain knowledge and achieve grades for our diploma. Everyday hoping for our course in RP to end. Then came FYP, the final phase where everyone was stressed out about their reports and presentations. Lab works, surveys and analytical processes just to name a few. Working and striving for that final presentation. And then, it was over...the big sigh of relieve. Finally all these days hoping for the end, has come to the end. Celebration was what we could all think about, but it feels sad though to accept the fact that the time is over. Now it is time for us to move on to our next phase in life. Which university would we enter? What careers would we be taking in the future? But before I leave, I take a good look back at the campus. Every single memory, every skills and insights we've gained, every sweet and ill memories we've experienced and every person whom we've spent time with will always be in our hearts and minds. Thank you Republic Polytechnic, thank you for everything.
