Economists fear that Germany's gross domestic product could shrink by up to 6 percent this year and have written off 2009 as a crisis year. But in the midst of the worst financial crisis in post-war history, a ray of hope has now appeared. Munich's Ifo Institute says business confidence worldwide is on the rise again for the first time since autumn 2007. Is Germany's export industry experiencing a market recovery?
