The Allstate Sugar Bowl: LSU vs. Notre Dame

The Allstate Sugar Bowl features the Louisiana State University Tigers taking on the Fighting Irish of the University of Notre Dame in a sold-out 73rd edition of the Classic in the Louisiana Superdome. LSU (10-2, 6-2 SEC) is ranked No.4 in the BCS rankings. The Tigers finished the regular season on a sixth-game winning streak, including a win over eventual SEC West Champion Arkansas on the last game of the season. LSU is also ranked amongst the top teams nationally in all defensive categories. Notre Dame (10-2), winners of eight of its last nine games, is ranked No. 11 in the BCS rankings.
