Thailand nightclub fire leaves 61 dead

(NECN) - A fire broke out in a Thailand nightclub packed with hundreds of New Year's revelers, killing at least 61 people as the panicked crowd stampeded in an effort to escape the flames through the club's only door. Over 200 were injured, including 35 foreigners -- citizens of Australia, Belgium, Britain, France, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and the United States, according to officials and reporters. read more
