(Pic: Reuters)Surayud Chulanont, 62, a former army commander and close adviser to the country's powerful monarch, has been selected by the country's ruling military council.His appointment is expected to be officially announced this weekend or Monday after it receives approval from King Bhumibol Adulyadej.A spokesman for the military council said an interim constitution had already been completed and sent to the Royal Palace.He said he hoped the constitution could be announced on Saturday or Sunday followed by the formal announcement of the prime minister.
