The #1 ranked Texas Longhorns has won impressively in back to back weeks against explosive passing teams from the Big 12 Conference. This week Texas is favored and will face a strong ground attack from the Big 12 in the Oklahoma St Cowboys. Oklahoma St is 5th in the nation in rushing the football averaging over 283 yards per game. The underdog is also a perfect 7-0 on the season. The Cowboys possess an improving defense that has given up just 29 points in their past 2 games. Kickoff is at 3:30PM Eastern time with regional coverage provided by ABC. The Longhorns are favored by 13 in this one. 81-year-old head coach Joe Paterno has his Penn St Nittany Lions sitting at #3 in the BCS Polls with a perfect 8-0 record. In Prime Time on ABC at 8PM Eastern Penn St is on the road to face the Ohio St Buckeyes. Many experts believe that Ohio St is the only threat to beat the Nittany Lions in their remaining 4 games. Ohio St has struggled on offense this season as they rank 92nd in the nation in total offense. Penn St averages over 45 points per game but Mother Nation could play a factor in this game because the early weather forecast predicts a 40% chance of rain. Penn St currently sits as a 2-point favorite. Now we move out West. The USC Trojans will hit the road this week for a date with the Arizona Wildcats. Both teams sit at 3-1 in the Pac 10 and are locked in a 4-way tie. Arizona is coming off a win over #25 ranked Cal 42-27 last weekend. The Cats have been very impressive at home this season averaging over 50 points per game. USCs lone loss this season was on the road and against a Pac 10 opponent as Oregon St beat the Trojans 27-21. Oregon St effectively shut down USCs running game as the Beavers allowed only 86 rushing yards to the Trojans. USC will be tested against the pesky Wildcats from Tucson.
