Tero beats NES Super Mario Bros

A full playthrough of Nintendo's Super Mario Bros for the NES. Game completed with no save states, warps zones, or continues, and with the first death on 8-3. I wasn't going to do a run of this game, because there's got to be like a thousand already on the net. However, this was done for an NES challenge, where the goal was to get as far as possible in SMB without losing a life and without using warp zones. As such, I just recorded it as I went along. Since I'm trying to beat it without dying, I don't waste time on coins or 1-ups. It turns out that beating all of SMB on one life is a lot harder than you'd think. Though the game itself isn't that difficult, it's hard to go through all 24 levels without messing up and falling in a pit. This is probably my 20th attempt or so, I lost almost all of them on 5-2 or 5-3. I actually only make it to 8-3 without dying, but I decide to complete the game anyway because it's still a pretty good run. World 5 is sloppy, and I almost lose it on 7-4 cause I can't remember how to complete the maze (how embarassing). Of course, when I make it to 8-3 as small mario, it's all over. I've always found 8-3 to be the hardest level, so it's fitting that I die there. I actually die several times before I get my act together and finish it off; my nerves were pretty shot at that point. I do get to finish it by skipping the axe, though, which is cool. I'm sure I could beat it all on one life if I kept at it, but I've had enough of this. My quest is over.
