Channel 4 is wading into controversy with a new drama shot in the style of a retrospective documentary in which US President George Bush is assassinated by a sniper. Death Of A President uses the fictional murder to explore the effects of the War on Terror on the US. The 90-minute film will be shown at the Toronto film festival and go out on Channel 4's digital channel More4. The programme makers say it's meant to be thought provoking, an examination of the War on Terror but some critics suggest it's deliberately trying to create controversy.
