(NECN) - Some who did not watch the Red Sox from wire-to-wire during the 162-game regular season may have been worried about ace Josh Beckett being pushed back to Game 3 in the ALDS. One look at Game 1, and any worries were gone. Lester hit a couple of bumps along the road, like Jed Lowrie's error in the third inning, but he settled in and essentially dominated the Angels lineup.
