Talanksy Deposed At Jerusalem District Court - Offers Information Regarding Illegal Financial Transactions

The American-Jewish businessman told the Jerusalem District Court that he met Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at least 10 times between 2002 and 2005, while Olmert was industry, trade and labor minister, and on each occasion, gave him envelopes of cash. The envelopes were transferred through Olmert's former bureau chief, Shula Zaken and contained between $3,000 and $9,000 each. Talansky stressed, however, that he did not do it for personal gain and only wanted to help Olmert because Olmert's ideology regarding Israel and Zionism was in line with his own. 05/27/08.
