Stimulus Bill Passed; Republicans Displeased

In a major victory for President Barack Obama, Democrats muscled a $787 billion stimulus bill through Congress late Friday in hopes of combating the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Republican opposition was nearly unanimous.
