State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara presents "Ballroom"

State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara presents in this video excerpts from its full-evening program, "Ballroom," choreographed to the music of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, the Andrews Sisters, Billie Holiday, Glenn Miller, George Gershwin, and others. Choreography is by William Soleau, Robert Sund, and artistic director, Rodney Gustafson. State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara, founded in 1994 by former American Ballet Theatre dancer Rodney Gustafson, has toured extensively, earning rave reviews for its sleek new look at classical ballet. For the past several seasons, th 18-dancer company has toured nationally – taking its full-length “Cinderella,” “Carmen,” and “The Nutcracker” to the East Coast, Southern States, and the Midwest. In 2008-2009, "Ballroom" will tour nationally with "Beauty and the Beast" and, upon special request, "Carmen."
