Stars turn up for Elton's 60th

Elton John has celebrated his 60th birthday in style with a typical star-studded bash.Sir Paul McCartney, Hugh Grant and Thandie Newton were among the celebs who helped the star celebrate his big day.The singer threw the joint party with artist Sam Taylor-Wood who is a close friend of the star.She was one of the few guests at Sir Elton's marriage to David Furnish in December 2005.The extravagant singer and his partner wore military uniforms at the party in east London.Newlyweds Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar were unable to go to the event as they are still honeymooning after their lavish wedding.Sir Elton was a guest of honour at the do, walking Hurley down the aisle and singing at the reception.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
