Spain is leading a bid, joined by Greece, Italy and Morocco, to get the Mediterranean diet included on the United Nation's 'intangible heritage' list. The list aims to protect and promote the world's most important arts, traditions and rituals and includes the Royal Ballet of Cambodia and Mexico's Festival of the Dead. But critics say the Spanish diet is less than healthy. One in three Spanish children is now overweight or obese -- the highest rate in Western Europe along with Italy and Greece.
