Sony the Cat Lectures on Halloween Treat Safety

Protect yourself and others this Halloween by reviewing a few candy safety tips: * Check for tampering or open wrappers. * Check expiration dates when possible. * Look online to make sure it wasnt recalled. * Check the ingredients for allergens such as peanuts, milk, or dyes when applicable. (When handing out candy, consider candies that don't contain common allergens; this is usually listed on the outer packaging like "Allergen Warning: Contains soy and tree nuts.") * Try to learn whether there's a chance it could contain contaminants like melamine. * When in doubt, THROW IT OUT! Don't miss Mike Mozart's video about contaminated candy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3dbBQPIFf0 (I only made this to be a video response to that video and add some safety tips before Halloween. The footage was only filmed to have one picture snipped out for the Good Housekeeping pet costume contest! It's a lot easier than taking 42 still photos hoping one will have the perfect pose.)
