(NECN) - A soldier with ties to Massachusetts has been killed in Afghanistan. 34-year-old Staff Sergeant Matthew Pucino died Monday when his mounted patrol unit was hit by an IED. Pucino lived in Maryland, but grew up in the town of Plymouth. Meanwhile, President Barack Obama is pledging to "finish the job" in Afghanistan. He is expected to tell the nation next week that the U.S. will send around 30,000 more combat troops to Afghanistan.
