The world's "most beautiful bottoms" have been crowned in the German city of Munich after 15,000 contestants went cheek to cheek. The candidates applied online "to convince the jury about the quality of their bottom" for lingerie manufacturer SloggiBut before the final choice was announced, the finalists had to convince the seven-member jury with their modelling know-how on an unusual catwalk - a moving conveyor belt. The female winner was Bulgarian Kristina Dimitrova, 19, who claims that her prize-winning derrière is down to eating "everything" and putting "seven spoons of sugar" in her coffee.Meanwhile, 24-year-old Romanian Andrei Andrei was equally enthusiastic having clinched - or should that be clenched? - the male bottom honour. With the winners each receiving 10,000 euros (£6,955), along with a modelling contract for the next underwear campaign and insurance cover for their rear ends, Andrei said it was a "great feeling" to be a winner, "especially because I won with my ass."But some people felt it had been a bit of a bum steer, with German contestant Kerstin Hafenrichter unhappy with the jury's selection and saying she would have chosen a different guy to win.She said: "I had another favourite. They said the most beautiful bottom is wanted but to me, he did not have the most beautiful bottom."Among the jury was a "psychologist who has completed scientific research on the formula for a perfect bottom" as well as British model and celebrity Sophie Anderton and a fitness guru to the stars.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
