Silvia Says U.S. May Lose 2 Million Jobs in Slowdown

John Silvia, chief economist at Wachovia Corp., talks with Bloomberg's Betty Liu from Charlotte, North Carolina, about the October U.S. employment report released today and outlook for the labor market and the economy. The U.S. jobless rate climbed 6.5 percent, the highest level since 1994, from 6.1 percent in Septebmer, the Labor Department said. Payrolls dropped by 240,000 workers, exceeding forecasts and following a revised loss of 284,000 in September. (Source: Bloomberg)
